Typhoon (17W) Sanba is currently located approximately 590 NM
east of Manila, Philippines, has tracked west-northwestward at 10 mph over the
past six hours. Maximum wave height is 20 feet.

Animated Multispectral satellite imagery shows a cloud-filled pinhole eye has developed over the low level circulation center (LLCC) as deep convective banding
wrapped ever tighter into the LLCC.
- Typhoon Sanba is expected to continue tracking more northward over the next 12 hours and steadily intensify as upper level conditions and warm (82-86 degrees fahrenheit) sea surface temperatures persist.
