Super Typhoon (17W) Sanba is currently located approximately 600 nm south of
Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan, has tracked northward at 8 mph over the
past six hours. Maximum wave height is 40 feet.

Animated Multispectral satellite imagery reveals a 20 nm eye completely encircled by a thick ring of deep convection with no banding outside of this ring.
